Credits

Performance is credited to "Solid Gold Easy Amex featuring Red Box", but is really just Red Box.  "Solid Gold Easy Amex" have no other recordings besides this one.

Written by Simon Toulson-Clarke and Julian Close
Produced by Red Box
Published by Warner Brothers Music Ltd.

Lyrics

[note: All lyrics are samples taken from films and other sources, and are spoken rather than sung.  In other words, there are no vocals by Simon Toulson-Clarke.]

[rooster crowing, laugh]

Now in order to become good dancers you must follow me closely, and do exactly as I do, do you understand?

Here's a dance that's the most popular in society.  You'll never go amiss going this.

When do we start?

[laugh, car horn, screeching brakes, crash]

Are you alright?

I love this twinkle.

Oh no, I'm getting... happy feet!  Woah!

What other reason do you have for being here?

Love the music.

Are you alright?

Trivia

- The name of the "band", Solid Gold Easy Amex, is a reference to "Solid Gold Easy Action", a song by T.Rex.

- The sample "Oh no, I'm getting... happy feet!  Woah!" is from Steve Martin's stand-up comedy act.

Commentary

"Enjoy was Red Box's rather odd foray into dance music.  With its loose jazzy feel, lack of proper vocals, and film samples, it would almost fit in better with 1997's SPA than the poppy The Circle And The Square-era stuff.   The oddest thing about Enjoy is that Red Box chose to release it under "Solid Gold Easy Amex featuring Red Box" rather than their own name.  Some would lament that Enjoy hasn't aged as well as most of Red Box's other material, but we must consider that in 1987 it was well ahead of its time."
