THE CIRCLE AND THE SQUARE RE-RELEASED!

It's been awhile, but this is the biggest news in years!  Cherry Red Records, the label where Red Box first started out with the original "Chenko" single, has RE-RELEASED The Circle and the Square on CD!  And it gets better... far more than a simple re-pressing, the new edition includes a selection of b-sides as well as extensive liner notes and more!  If you only own one Red Box recording, this is the one to get!  Available in stores in the UK on the 27th, and available now for order from online stores worldwide!

Want another reissue CD to give as a holiday gift?  We have a few extras to give away to fans.  Write in to us with a few sentences or more about your favourite Red Box song and why, and we'll select a few to receive the Circle and the Square CD for free by mail!  All entries can (and probably will) be used on this site, and don't forget your full name and mailing address!  Write us now!

In our first update in ages, added a new compilation entry, Retro:active 5: Rare and Remixed, featuring the Bazooka Mix of For America.  I wish there was more, but it's been very quiet in the Red Box lately.  If anyone else has more to report, contact us and let us know!  (11.25.06)

Where have we been?  We've not lost interest in Red Box, it's just that there's very little new to report (except for Simon getting married--congratulations!).  If anyone has anything Red Box-related, feel free to send it our way--reviews, song commentary from fans, anything at all.  (8.13.03)

The VIDEOS section is finally up and running, with a page for each video, screen captures for two of them, and interesting facts like who all the directors were.  Plus, commentary for Now Ask!  (2.8.03)

Ever wondered who Kenneth Roy Wyles was?  Read Simon's comments on Moving to find out, as well as the interesting story of how it as recorded!  Plus, minor lyrics corrections elsewhere.  (2.6.03)

Added Stinging Bee, Well, Wing, Christians Who Kill , and Hog Heaven.  Now every song has a page!  Some additional commentary still to be added.  (2.5.03)

Lewis Slade has put up an excellent Simon Toulson-Clarke interview on his Valley site.  It's a must-read for anyone interested in Red Box, and even has pictures!  On another note, did you ever notice how Simon always looks exactly the same?  It's been 20 years since Chenko first came out, and even his hair length hasn't changed!
