Quite an odd dream last night, really. I had travelled to England for the purpose of... well, I'm not sure exactly, but it had something to do with something creative. I was staying in this beautiful little house in London that was centered around a fairly large dining room with a long wooden table. Everything around me seemed to be dark woods and deep greens, beautiful and elegant. Perhaps in need of a change of scenery, I went out to a local video arcade. It was fairly typical looking, all bright colours and lights, sliding and pulsing. I figured I'd try one of those motorized crane machines where you pick up a stuffed animal with the little metal claw. I won several, but the chute to the prize door was apparently clogged, which can happen with those machines sometimes if a larger prize gets caught. So anyway, I figure I'll shake the machine a little to get them out. Although I expect it to be very heavy, I find that it's easy to lift it right up off the floor! Just then, the video arcade manager (who is in a little cage box, just like Danny DeVito as Louie DePalma on Taxi) tells me that picking up the machines isn't allowed, which I suppose makes good enough sense, even in a dream. He doesn't seem to care if I keep the stuff I shaked loose from the clogged prize chute though. When I open the little door, it turns out that the various stuffed animals--many of which resembled Nintendo's pink puffball Kirby, by the way--had transmogrified into various coloured leather bowling gloves! This seems odd to me, but I very carefully packed them all with my stuff. At this point, I was woken up by Tigger clinging to the screen outside my window, yowling to be let in. Tigger is a cat, by the way, so don't anyone call 911 or anything. I never did get to find out what I was going to do with all those bowling gloves.
I am quoting pieces of your dream because it helps me sort out the symbology (if there is any).
(your quote):" I had travelled to England for the purpose of... well, I'm not sure exactly, but it had something to do with something creative."
(my comment): Travelling and creativity joined in this fashion can mean that there are new adventures ahead involving new ideas and imagination...The feeling I get when I read this is that there is some sort of longing ...something you want to make happen but you must go to great lengths and you are hopeful...yet a bit sad.
(your quote): "I was staying in this beautiful little house in London that was centered around a fairly large dining room with a long wooden table. Everything around me seemed to be dark woods and deep greens, beautiful and elegant."
(my comment): This is indicative of how you enjoy being the center of attention...You place high importance of how others view you. The dining room being the central focus of the house gives me the impression that social interaction is extremely important. Though the long wooden table gives me a feeling of distance...like you are distancing yourself from deep social interaction and keeping things very surface. If it were a stone table...I would say it would be distance from any sort of emotional exchange...but there is still warmth in the wooden table. Your surroundings are dark...meaning unknown...though the greens say there is healing present...some sort of healing force that you know little about...but find attractive and comforting. It could be your own ability to heal others. I often find it is very healing just to lay in your arms for awhile.
(your quote):"Perhaps in need of a change of scenery, I went out to a local video arcade. It was fairly typical looking, all bright colours and lights, sliding and pulsing."
(my comment): This seems pretty straight forward. As attracted to the elegance and comfort of the house in London you were....you could not stay in one place for too long. You get bored easily. You get sick of the same things day after day (who wouldnt) This highlights, perhaps, the sense of longing I mentioned earlier. It is like you are feeling amorous about something or someone...but you can't put a name or face to it. Here is where you are clearly searching for entertainment that you otherwise cannot provide for yourself.

(my comment):You succeeded in a challenge but there was a bit of delay in the rewards.
(your quote):"So anyway, I figure I'll shake the machine a little to get them out. Although I expect it to be very heavy, I find that it's easy to lift it right up off the floor!"
(my comment): You find that with very little effort you can reap your rewards...You expected it to be far more difficult.

(my comment): Even though you came by your success honestly....in order to get the ball rolling you feel like you had to go against the rules a little...be aggressive in order to make your rewards happen...and they did.
(your quote):"When I open the little door, it turns out that the various stuffed animals--many of which resembled Nintendo's pink puffball Kirby, by the way--had transmogrified into various coloured leather bowling gloves!"
(my comment): Now what the heck would you need various bowling gloves for....This is important to know because it is the key of the dream. Perhaps the gloves represent the protection you use for yourself when you are aiming your "balls" at various goals. I am sure there may be a less crude way of putting that....but thats the first thing that came to mind.
